Reno Injury Law Firm
I have practiced almost exclusively in the area of personal injury and mediation for 23 years, and have extensive experience trying cases before judges and juries in Washoe County courtrooms. I have also won significant settlements and verdicts in cases involving insurance bad faith, personal injury, wrongful termination, and premises liability. The Reno legal community is a tight-knit one, and being a Reno native helps me to have good working relationships with doctors, insurance adjusters, and other lawyers.
Some larger firms will take your case, but then your case is handled later by another lawyer or a paralegal. I have been a sole practitioner in Reno for 23 years and I will handle every aspect of your case personally. I am also accessible on the phone to answer any questions you may have.
All too often, the client is left in the dark about the procedural aspect of his or her case, causing needless worry and anxiety. I strive to keep the client fully informed at all times, and I always let my client have a strong say in how he or she wishes to have their legal problem resolved. Any potential client should make a fully informed decision about which lawyer is best qualified to handle the case, and should have at least a fundamental understanding of the civil legal process in Nevada before making the all-important decision of which lawyer to choose.
Almost all personal injury attorneys charge a standard “one-third” contingency fee, which means they take one-third of the recovery, regardless of how much work they do in the case. This is why so many attorneys advertise for personal injury cases. Most often, however, cases are resolved without litigation, and if your case can be resolved this way, I will charge a lower fee. I may also charge an hourly fee, depending on the complexity of the case. I will always provide a free consultation with any prospective client to discuss the case and to provide as much information and knowledge to the client so that the client and I can both make an informed decision on how to proceed with their case.
I will advance costs in your case. Costs include medical records, expert witness fees, and other litigation out-of-pocket costs. If you do not get a recovery or win your case, there is no attorney fee and you are not requirement to reimburse me for costs.
